As a Parks Canada interpreter I’m honoured to have lead this walk and to be part of it with all of you, all of us. And especially, I said it before, but especially this year it is important for us as Canadians to be absolutely critical of Canada 150, recognizing that our country and its celebration stands on oppression of other nations.
Today we have only scratched the surface of this hidden aspect of Dawson City. There’s a lot more that we can talk about, and a lot more to learn. I hope we piqued your curiosity, ’cause it certainly piqued mine, to continue to seek out this, these lesser-known stories and lesser-known truths of our history, as I know I will.
I thank you for your attention and your respect during this walk and I’m going to step aside and, I’m gonna let Bo and Chris lead us through this ceremonial closing of the walk.
